July 4th is 10 days away, so here are 10 things you should know about NH LAKES’ LakeFest 2014: Raft-a-Palooza, presented by Binnie Media on Sun. 8/3 at Endicott Rock Park in Weirs Beach on Lake Winnipesaukee (Laconia, NH).

#10 – The $10/boat Red, White & Blue registration rate for Raft-a-Palooza expires at 11:59 pm on 7/4 – don’t miss the boat! Click here to register today; save money + make Guinness history with us on Sun. 8/3.

#9 – No Canoe? No Kayak? No problem! Inexpensive rentals are available during online registration – your rental boat will be waiting on the beach for you, along w/ a PFD + paddle.

#8 – Register by July 4th for Raft-a-Palooza + you get a free event t-shirt!

#7 – Register by July 4th for Raft-a-Palooza + you’re also automatically entered to win a Heron kayak package from our generous friends at Irwin Marine + Old Town Canoes & Kayaks!

#6 – The on-land family-friendly festival at LakeFest is free + will be awesome! Live music, great food selection, retail vendors, nonprofit exhibitors + more.

#5 – Your kids can become official “Watershed Warriors” (complete w/ a fancy patch) at LakeFest – rest easy knowing school might be out, but they’re still learning + growing.

#4 – Lots of folks have already been counted in for Raft-a-Palooza at LakeFest – help us spread the word? Print this out, write in your reason, take a pic + post on our FB page or e/m to lakes@nhlakefest.org

#3 – If you’re feeling a bit guilty about missing worship services on a Sunday morning, you can rest easier knowing there will be an Interfaith Blessing of the Fleet on the Beach before our 11:00 am Guinness World Record attempt.

#2 – Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon named his little one after Lake Winnipesaukee, so we think he’d be a great addition to our Guinness World Record attempt for largest free-floating raft of canoes + kayaks – if he’s a personal friend, feel free to give him our number. 🙂

#1 – LakeFest is going to be an incredibly fun day on-land + on-water with loads of terrific people. However, it’s also a vital opportunity to protect NH’s lakes + waterways by spreading the word about the Clean, Drain & Dry! practice to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species – click here to learn more.
