Motorcycle Week kicks off at Weirs Beach, Laconia, NH in a few days, sure to be filled with newsworthy antics, lots of adventures, and the occasional misadventure. The event has definitely gotten more colorful since this 1918 image captured the Bay State Motorcycle Club.
This is an ideal time to remind folks Endicott Rock Park at Weirs Beach, home of LakeFest 2014: Raft-a-Palooza, presented by Binnie Media on Sun. 8/3, bears very little resemblance to Lakeside Ave. during Motorcycle Week.
They’ve got asphalt – we’ve got lush grass + a gorgeous stretch of sandy beach.
They’ve got relentless sun reflecting off chrome – we’ve got shade trees + sunlight dancing off the clear waters of Lake Winnipesaukee.
They’ve got some not-for-young-eyes signage and wardrobe choices – we’ve got a fully family-friendly Raft-a-Palooza Guinness World Record attempt, followed by a fun and free on-land festival.
Motorcycle Week IS great fun for thousands each year, LakeFest 2014: Raft-a-Palooza on Sun. 8/3 is simply a quite different kind of fun – set in the beautiful oasis of Endicott Rock Park (pictured below earlier this week).
Remember: registration for the Raft-a-Palooza Guinness World Record attempt is just $10/boat through July 4th – click here to register today! EVERYONE registered by 11:59 pm on 7/4 is automatically entered to win this brand new Heron kayak from Old Town Canoes & Kayaks, courtesy of our friends at Irwin Marine:
