LakeFest (Guinness World Record attempt + Free Family-Friendly Festival) is THIS Sat. 9/7 on Lake Winnipesaukee at Weirs Beach, NH! All are welcome to partake in the on-land Festival (free + open to the public – free parking too) + on-water Guinness World Record attempt for largest free floating raft of canoes + kayaks (registration required – register online to save time at check-in + be automatically entered to win great prizes). Saturday’s weather forecast is beautiful – partly sunny 70’s with light/gentle breeze.

Fri. 9/6, 12:00 Noon – 7:00 pm: Early Bird Registration/Check-in + Boat Drop off @ Weirs Beach location only – skip the lines on Sat. + pre-position your canoe or kayak on the beach – overnight security provided.

Sat. 9/7, 7:00 am: Registration opens at all 3 official LakeFest launch sites – Akwa Marina (go directly to Akwa if you reserved a canoe or kayak during online registration), Public Boat Ramp at Meredith’s Hesky Park, Endicott Rock Park @ Weirs Beach (Guinness World Record attempt + Free Family-Friendly Festival Location).

Sat. 9/7, mid-morning – 4:00 pm: Free Family-Friendly Festival @ Weirs Beach’s Endicott Rock Park – enjoy live music, games, educational exhibits, canoe + kayak sales, activities, kayak raffle, storytelling + more!

Sat. 9/7, 10:00 am: Guinness World Record Attempt! (see below for full timeline of the attempt)


When you check in (Early Bird Registration is 12:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Weirs on Fri. 9/6; Event Day Registration opens at 7:00 am at all 3 official launch sites) you will be given important “bracelets”, please do not misplace these!

Blue Clean, Drain & Dry Bracelet: identifies participants who have registered and signed a waiver. All passengers in your vessel must wear this bracelet to enter the rafting area.

Numbered Tyvek Bracelet: Each boat captain will receive two of these bracelets marked with the same number. Please wear one and attach the other to your boat.


7:00 am – Registration & Check in Opens at all three launches
(Endicott Rock Park, Akwa Marina & Hesky Park, Meredith Bay)

8:30 am – Meredith Bay paddlers leave Hesky Park for the rafting area at Weirs Beach.

9:00 am – On Your Mark!
All canoes and kayaks make their way onto the water at Weirs Beach + into the rafting area.

10:00 am – Get Set!
The MS Mount Washington departs its slip and sounds it horn.

10:01 am – GO!
All canoes and kayaks should be in the rafting area and ready to
make our attempt.

10:15 am – CELEBRATE!
After the alarm sounds celebrating a job well done, please make
your way out of the rafting area and to Endicott Rock Park Beach to join the on-land Festival (which is free + open to the public – enjoy live music, educational displays, games, activities, canoe + kayak sales, + more).
