Don’t miss LakeFest 2013 on Sat. 9/7 at Weirs Beach’s Endicott Rock Park in Laconia, NH. LakeFest is free and open to the public; Festival happenings (mid morning – 4:00 pm) include live music, educational exhibits, food, activities + more. Parking is free.
Guinness World Record attempt for largest free floating raft of canoes and kayaks is at 10:00 am on Sat. 9/7; register online to be part of the attempt – canoe and kayak rentals are available by pre-registering.
Registration for Guinness World Record participants opens at 7:00 am on Sat. 9/7 at all 3 official launch sites: the boat ramp in downtown Meredith, Akwa Marina, + Weirs Beach (Endicott Rock Park).
In addition to being a fun-filled day of paddling, Festival meandering, and Guinness World Record attempting, LakeFest is also a great opportunity for NH LAKES to share information about the new Clean, Drain, and Dry! protocol to prevent the spread of aquatic nuisance species.
