Did you know?

That you can paddle to the Guinness World Record attempt at LakeFest on Sat. 9/7? You can launch from Akwa Marina (1/3 mile paddle) or from the boat ramp in downtown Meredith (3-mile paddle). Both launch sites open for registration at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. If you live on Lake Winnipesaukee you can paddle right to Weirs Beach on the morning of September 7th. You still have to register and pick up your registration bracelets at the event so you can either drive over to Endicott Rock Park at Weirs Beach on Friday between noon-7:00 p.m. (just pull up on Lakeside Ave.) or plan to paddle right to the beach on Saturday, early enough (we recommend 8:00 a.m.) to walk up from the shore and complete your registration. If you do paddle on the Big Lake wear your PFD throughout your trip. Although our rafting site is fairly well protected, the open water parts of the lake can get very choppy. But however you plan to get there, just get there. This will be an event for the memory books!
